Samsung set to release its first Google TV sets “later this year”
Samsung is not only one of the most popular smartphone makers, but it is arguably the best TV manufacturer, as well. Sadly, Google TV fans have not been able to enjoy Samsung’s great displays, but with the company’s vast investment in the Android OS, it was only a matter of time before it happened.
Google TV’s official blog is reporting that Samsung is set to introduce Samsung Smart TVs powered by Google TV. These should become available “later this year,” so you may want to hold off on purchasing a new Google TV if you would rather go with Samsung. And honestly, I am wondering if I should wait and see what Samsung has before I purchase an LG Google TV (impressively discounted on Amazon right now), especially if these will feature LED panels.
There is something impressive about Samsung TVs, which offer some of the best colors and viewing experience in the market. And of course, Samsung is no amateur in the Smart TV business. They have been offering Smart TVs for quite some time, and though these are more than capable, Google TV’s focus and flexibility can always improve the experience.
So what do you say – will you wait for Samsung or go with a shiny LG Google TV?
