Google Play Music update finally fixes Google TV compatibility

Google Play Music update finally fixes Google TV compatibility

For many of us, Google TV has become the center of our media universe in the living room. What is a media center without our music collection, though? Google’s official smart TV has not been working smoothly with its music streaming service, and the last update simply broke compatibility. It seems Google Music is now back and running on our Google TVs, though!

That is right, Google Play Music has received a handy update that fixes bugs and brings better controls for Android 4.1 users. Most importantly, though, us Google TV fans will get back in on the action. That sure felt like a long time for all of us music junkies!

For many of you, Google TV compatibility may be the deciding factor for choosing between Google Music and other music-streaming services. So you might as well head over to the Google Play Store and download it now that everything is going dandy!

Beware, though. This update seems to only affect newer devices like the new Sony Google TV box and the Vizio Co-Star. So it might not work if you have older devices like the Logitech Revue. Perfect timing from Google, though – Google TV is finally starting to get some more users and it is the right way to welcome current and future Google Music users.
