Ready for some more Google Play content on your Google TV? Of course you are! Today Google has announced that movies, TV shows, and music will be rolling out to the Google Play store on Google TV devices.

This means that not only will you be able to do cool things like rent movies, buy TV episodes, and albums, but also be able to view the movies and TV shows you bought on other devices. The content you buy from Google Play will show up in the TV & Movies app along with old favorites like Netflix and Hulu.

Some non-content related updates have also been added to Google Play. Auto-updates, subscription billing, and smart app updates are all now built into Google Play on Google TV devices. All in all this is a long overdue, and much needed, update for Google Play.
