Amazon Instant Video app now available for Google TV
We have been watching Amazon Instant Video from the Chrome Browser on Google TV for a while, but there is nothing like a native app. If you are tired of simply having a shortcut to Amazon Instant Video and need something more resourceful, the online retailer has just released a Google TV app for you!
Just in time for the holidays! You can now huddle around the TV and fireplace with your family to watch your favorite shows and movies on your Google TV. You can download the app straight from the Google Play Store, but there is one small (or not so small) catch, the app is currently only available for LG Google TV sets.
We know, that is not very nice, but Google is promising compatibility with other devices to come soon. And if you are looking for a brand new TV, LG’s 47-inch Google TV has been discounted all the way down to $999. It is a rather nice price compared to the original $1,600 price point.
